Back to Royers LIVE

Ribbons make a dramatic difference on brass and wind instruments, delivering a smooth, full bodied tone with no high-end harshness. The full range of the instrument is captured and FOH reproduction is extremely natural, as if there was nothing between the performer and your speakers. The days of fighting bright brass are over!

Harry Conick Jr. uses four R-122's across the live brass section, Barry Manilow uses six to nine R-122's across his brass section depending on the size of the venue and band, and every Academy Award show since 2003 has had R-121's on the live brass section. Arturo Sandoval uses one R-122 for his live trumpet work (Arturo does not formerly endorse Royer Labs), and Wayne Shorter uses either one R-122 or a combination of an R-122 and a Soundelux condenser microphone when playing live.
