Royers In Action

"Session Photos" is about letting you come into the studio with us on interesting sessions, or on-stage for major live gigs, to see first-hand how people in all walks of music are using Royer ribbon microphones. From this page you can view pictures of major and independent recording sessions, check out live miking setups, listen to MP3's of engineers talking about how they use ribbon microphones and hear MP3's of ribbon-recorded music. The sessions run from classical ensembles to jazz dates to pop music to bone-crunching rock bands - pretty much whatever we could get our hands on that we thought would be of interest to you.

Ongoing sessions:
Session Photos is a work in progress, so check back every few weeks for new sessions. If there's anything you'd like to see that's not here, or if you have suggestions on how to improve Session Photos, please email us.

Ross Hogarth

Over the past few years, Grammy winner Ross Hogarth has invited us to a number of his recording sessions. We've learned a lot about our microphones' capabilities during those sessions. We got the idea for "Session Photos" while we were shooting the Devildriver pictures - the setups were just too cool to not share with the rest of the recording world!
