Dez Fafara, lead singer of Coal Chamber, founded DevilDriver. The self titled "DevilDriver" CD was released in October 2003. The record is off to a good start - "Swinging The Dead" is on the Freddy VS Jason movie soundtrack, and "I Could Care Less" is on the MTV2 Headbangers Ball Compilation CD.
DevilDriver was recorded at Rumbo Recorders in the legendary "B" room - (recordings in this room include Guns N Roses "Appetite For Destruction", Stone Temple Pilots "Core", Motley Crue "Girls Girls Girls", No Doubt "Tragic Kingdom"...)

2. Ross's favorite stereo guitar rig is two Rivera amps feeding two Rivera 4-12 speaker cabs. He puts an R-121, SM57 and 421 close together on each cabinet. The R-121 is the "meat" of the sound, and the other mics are blended-to-taste for variety.

7. The three-cab bass rig from hell! Each cabinet has an R-122 on it. The center cabinet adds a Neumann FET-47, and the cab on the right adds a Neumann FET-47 and Neumann U-87. Lots of tones to work with
